It’s finally gotten cold enough to use our wood burning fireplaces. True, they give off little heat, but they’re nice to look at, smell good, and sound wonderful! Before you light that first fire, though, be sure to have a chimney service come and inspect it. Creosote buildup, cracked flue liners, and damaged mortar joints are all safety issues.
